Looking for a little reprieve?

The turkey has been eaten and the weather is changing (actually it's surprisingly nice this week...). Another holiday break is almost here and seems so close, yet not close enough. Classes are dragging on. What's a person to do??

While there is a lot going on and it all seems overwhelming, you still need to move forward! How? Here are some tips for getting through this season successfully!

*Journal - thoughts, feelings, or journal about what you want to achieve for the day

*Exercise - even a little bit of movement can help. Maybe go for a walk a couple times a week instead of playing a video game.

*Show gratitude - you would be surprised at what writing down or saying what you are thankful for each day can do for you.

*Take a break from social media...whether at night or maybe during the school day... At first it will be hard but if you find some disciplined time to break from your technology, you might be surprised at what happens. Try it!

*If you are going to be on social media - follow people and groups that bring you joy or inspire you. On Insta try @powerofpositivity on FB @PositiveThingsOnly

*Falling behind in school, come talk to you counselor. We can come up with a plan. OR use our Academic Support Center, Math LRC, or just talk to your teacher. Many times, just having a set time to study/work can make a huge difference ;)
